Pianist Martin Stadtfeld, known for his specialization in Bach, has expanded his repertoire to include music from the Romantic era. Born in Koblenz, West Germany in 1980, Stadtfeld displayed prodigious talent from a young age, winning competitions and gaining recognition for his performances. Signed to Sony Classical in 2003, he has collaborated with major orchestras primarily in German-speaking countries and released a variety of recordings, showcasing his diverse musical interests.
Throughout his career, Stadtfeld has maintained a strong association with Sony Classical and continued to explore a wide range of composers beyond Bach, including Beethoven, Mendelssohn, and Schumann. He is passionate about introducing classical music to younger audiences, evident in his album "Beethoven f├╝r Kinder." Despite the challenges of the COVID-19 pandemic, Stadtfeld remained active, releasing albums like "Piano Songbook" and "Christmas Piano." In 2023, he released the innovative double album "Baroque Colours," featuring a collection of short Baroque pieces.
