Martin Nievera

Martin Nievera, known as the "Concert King" of the Philippines, was born on February 5, 1962, in Manila. Inspired by his father's success, he began his musical career in 1982, releasing his first platinum-selling album, Martin...Take One. Nievera gained further fame co-hosting the TV show Penthouse Live! with his wife, Pops Fernandez, the "Concert Queen." His albums in the '80s and '90s were hugely popular, with his 1997 release Journeys earning critical acclaim and awards. Despite their separation, Nievera's album Forever became a best-seller in the Philippines, leading to two sequels that also achieved platinum status.
