Biography

Marka Akme is a Uruguayan cumbia/urbano band formed in 2012 by Nicol├ís Blanco (vocals) and his neighborhood friends. Their debut single "Violenta" gained millions of plays across Latin America. In 2014, they launched their Vevo channel and set a cumbia genre record with "Linda," reaching 1 million views in less than 20 days. Following the success of "Linda," Marka Akme collaborated with "El Villano" on "M├ís que amigos," garnering 2.5 million views in a month on Vevo. In November 2015, they released "Mata" under the Montevideo Music Group label.
