Maricarmen Marín Salinas, known as Maricarmen, is a Peruvian singer, model, actress, television presenter, and producer born on September 28, 1982 in Lima. She began her career as a dancer on the show La movida de los sábados at 16 and later became the lead vocalist of the cumbia group Agua Bella before venturing into a successful solo music career with her debut album "Me enamoré de ti y qué."
Maricarmen has also made appearances in television series and films, including starring roles in the miniseries "Vírgenes de la cumbia" and "Yo no me llamo Natacha." She has been a judge on singing competition shows like "Yo soy" and "La Banda," where she also serves as the producer for the tropical category. Currently, she is a prominent figure in Peruvian television as a judge on "Yo soy" broadcasted on Latina.
