Maria Bamford, the versatile standup comedian and voice-over artist, hails from Port Hueneme, California, but was raised in Duluth, Minnesota. Beginning her standup career at 19 in Minneapolis, she landed a voice acting job on Nickelodeon's CatDog and gained recognition after appearing on Late Night with Conan O'Brien in 1999. Joining the Comedians of Comedy tour in 2004 with Zach Galifianakis, Patton Oswalt, and Brian Posehn, Bamford released her debut album The Burning Bridges Tour and later launched her web series The Maria Bamford Show in 2007.
Alongside her successful standup career, Bamford established herself as a sought-after television presence, appearing in shows like Word Girl, Fresh Off The Boat, and Arrested Development, as well as lending her voice to popular animated series such as Bojack Horseman and Adventure Time. In 2017, she released her fifth album, 20%, under Comedy Central Records, showcasing her continued comedic prowess and wide-ranging talents in the entertainment industry.
