The group rose to fame in 2011 with their stress-reducing composition "Weightless," developed in partnership with the British Academy of Sound Therapy.

Formed in 2003 by musicians Jamie Crossley and Richard Talbot, Marconi Union released their debut album, "Under Wires and Searchlights," on Ochre Records. Subsequent releases on All Saints Records and Binemusic showcased the duo's evolution towards a more ambient techno sound, culminating in the success of "Weightless" and their continued exploration of pure ambient music through albums like "Beautifully Falling Apart" and "Ghost Stations."
