Underground rap producer Marco Bruno, known as Marco Polo, honed his early-'90s boom-bap style in Toronto before making his mark in New York. After immersing himself in hip-hop and investing in production equipment, Polo moved to NYC and worked his way up from intern to in-house producer at the Cutting Room recording studios. His breakout moment came when Masta Ace featured Polo's production on his 2004 album, leading to collaborations with esteemed artists and a partnership with Soulspazm and Rawkus Records. Polo's 2007 album, "Port Authority," showcased his classic sound with guest appearances from legendary MCs like Kool G Rap and Large Professor.
