Marca MP, consisting of Chato (lead vocals and harmony), Omar Valdivia (requinto), Ismael Villano (Tololoche), and Ernesto Franco (tuba), specializes in romantic melodies and corridos with a fresh focus on guitar, bass, and tuba sounds.
Formed in January 2018, MARCA MP initially performed at quincea├▒eras and flea markets. By November of the same year, Chato had compiled a set of new songs with the goal of releasing them on streaming platforms. In 2019, the band recorded four tracks, including the corrido "El G├╝ero," which later reached a million streams on Spotify, leading to performances outside California. Collaborating with Grupo Firme on "El G├╝ero" marked a significant milestone for Marca MP, propelling them to further success. Currently, the band has been nominated for the "Regional Mexican New Artist" category at the 2024 Premio Lo Nuestro and has embarked on the "Simplemente Marca Tour" starting in April 2024. Their latest album, "PARY," features the standout track "PA CONTAR," while their collaboration "Ya Acabo" ft. Becky G earned them the "Best Regional Mexican Collaboration" award at the 2023 Latin AMA's.
