Born on May 10, 1991, in Hakodate, Hokkaido, MACO is a singer-songwriter who gained attention after covering Taylor Swift's "We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together" in Japanese in 2014. This led to her winning the Best New Artist award at the 29th Japan Gold Disc Awards. Her debut album "FIRST KISS" reached the top spot on Recochoku and peaked at number 5 on the Oricon chart in 2015, quickly becoming a social media sensation with over 100 million views on YouTube.
In 2018, MACO celebrated her fifth anniversary with the release of her first best album "BEST LOVE MACO," which topped various streaming and album charts and reached number 6 on the Oricon weekly ranking.
