Machete, a renowned collective of rappers and producers hailing from Italy, gained fame in Italian-speaking Europe with their successful mixtape series, notably starting with 2012's Machete Mixtape. The group's fourth installment in the series, released in 2019, secured the top spot on the Italian album chart, solidifying their status in the music scene. The collective's initial release on Machete Empire Records in 2012, featuring key members Enigma, El Raton, and Salmo, set the stage for their subsequent commercial triumphs, including collaborations with prominent DJs and rappers.

Collaborating with Epic Records, Machete continued to make waves with their music, with releases such as DJ Slait's Bloody Vinyl Mixtape and subsequent volumes of the Machete Mixtape series.
