Mac Powell, hailing from Alabama, co-founded the Christian rock band Third Day in Atlanta, GA during high school. Over their nearly 30-year run, Third Day achieved great success, selling over 10 million albums, winning numerous awards, and being inducted into the Georgia Music Hall of Fame. Following the band's farewell tour in 2018, Mac released his solo Christian album "New Creation" on October 15, 2021, which debuted at NO. 1 on the Top Christian & Gospel album chart. The album's single "River of Life" reached the Top 10 at Christian radio, while the title track spent 7 weeks at NO. 2 and 19 weeks in the top 10. Mac resides in Atlanta with his wife Aimee and their children.
