Biography

Growing up in the Swiss Alps in the 90s, producer Laurent Clerc AKA Little People was exposed to underground hip hop from New York through a forward-thinking local radio station and a DJ with a keen ear for the emerging scene. Experimenting with an old Mac and a collection of LPs, Laurent honed his skills to emulate the sounds of hip hop across the pond. A move to the UK broadened his musical influences, incorporating electronica and adding a cinematic element to his sound through work in film and theater.

After self-releasing an EP, Little People caught the attention of Illicit Recordings in London, leading to the release of his debut album "Mickey Mouse Operation" in 2006. Initially making a modest impact, the album has since gained a dedicated following in the US, steadily climbing the electronic charts on US iTunes over the past four years.
