Lady Saw, the First Lady of Dancehall, is a Jamaican artist known for her provocative image and bold attitude, distinguishing herself in the reggae scene. Born in 1972 in St. Mary's, Jamaica, Marion Hall signed with VP Records in 1994 and quickly gained recognition for her collaborations with top artists like Shabba Ranks, Shaggy, and Beenie Man. Her 1997 album Passion showcased her X-rated vocal style and led to the release of popular compilations in 1998. Over the years, Lady Saw continued to push boundaries with albums like Strip Tease and Walk Out, eventually founding her own label, Divas Records, in 2010 to release her music independently.

With her fearless persona and sexually explicit lyrics, Lady Saw has cemented her status as a prominent figure in the dancehall genre, setting her apart from other female artists like Lil' Kim and Foxy Brown.
