La Firma

Hailing from Monterrey, the Mexican group la Firma burst onto the music scene in 1998 with their debut album Como Una Estrella. Led by singer/songwriter Luis Padilla, the band's sound blends traditional Mexican music with Latin rhythms like Colombian Cumbia and vallenato. Their 2001 release, Por El Amor de Una Mujer, was recorded in McAllen, TX, and includes collaborations with Plastilina Mosh and Intocable.
