La Casta├▒eda

Originating from a psychiatric hospital in Mexico City, la Casta├▒eda emerged in the early '90s with their independent album Servicios Generales. They signed with BMG's Culebra and released Servicios Generales II in 1993, followed by international distribution through BMG/Ariola a year later. Led by vocalist Salvador Moreno, the band's dark and obscure performances set the stage for their Latin alternative pop/rock sound. After releasing EL Globo Negro in 1995 and El Hijo de Plata in 1996, la Casta├▒eda self-produced Trance under Casta├▒eda Records-Pentagrama, concluding with a farewell tour titled Desaparici├│n in late 2000.
