Born in Tuscany and currently based near Milan, Filippo Maria Fanti, known by his nickname Irama, found early inspiration from his parents' collection of Italian folk and pop music. He began writing songs at the age of seven and later delved into hip-hop, participating in freestyle competitions with friends during his childhood.
In 2016, Irama made his debut at the Sanremo Music Festival as a finalist with the song "Cosa resterà" from his self-titled album released by Warner Music. He gained mainstream recognition in 2018 after winning the talent show Amici di Maria De Filippi and releasing the successful EP "Plume." Throughout the following years, he continued to top the Italian charts with hit singles like "Arrogante," "Mediterranea," "La genesi del tuo colore," and "Melodia proibita," along with the Platinum album "Giovani" and 2x Platinum EP "Crepe." His latest album, "Il giorno in cui ho smesso di pensare," features the popular single "Ovunque Sarai."
