An─▒l Acar, known by his stage name Gazapizm, chose music as a means of self-expression at a young age. Through his songs, he reflected not only his life but also the harsh realities of the world, the stories of gritty streets that require courage to enter, and the truths of subcultures with powerful metaphors. He penned his first song in 2003 and began recording music at home. In 2009, he released his debut album "Maj├╢r Depresyon."
Gazapizm intertwined classical instruments and contemporary electronic sounds uncommon in Turkish rap music with pulsating beats. Following his debut album, he released notable works such as "Yeraltı Edebiyatı" and "Bir Gün Her Şey." His song "Heyecanı Yok," released in 2017, surpassed 250 million views, earning him the "Best Song" award at the Altın Kelebek Awards and the "Emerging Musician of the Year" award at the GQ Man Of The Year Awards. In 2019, he performed a concert with the Tepecik Philharmonic Orchestra, becoming the first rap artist in Turkey to perform with a philharmonic orchestra. Gazapizm's latest album "Hiza," released in 2020, received great acclaim. He made history by holding Turkey's first symphonic rap concert at the Harbiye Cemil Topuzlu Open-Air Theater, performing at the Volkswagen Arena with a 150-piece orchestra conducted by Orhan Şallıel. In 2024, he released his fifth album "Dönmek için Eve," accompanied by a full-length film featuring each song from the album, marking a first in Turkey with Gazapizm directing the film himself.
