Dave Mason

Dave Mason, born in Worcester, England on May 10, 1946, gained early experience as a musician in various bands before co-founding Traffic in 1967 with Steve Winwood. After leaving Traffic, Mason embarked on a successful solo career, releasing his acclaimed debut album Alone Together in 1970. Throughout the '70s and '80s, he continued to release albums and found commercial success with the 1977 hit single "We Just Disagree."

Mason's solo career was marked by collaborations with notable artists like Eric Clapton and George Harrison, as well as his work with groups such as Derek and the Dominos. Despite legal disputes with record labels, Mason's albums consistently charted well, with Let It Flow in 1977 reaching platinum status. His enduring musical legacy includes hits like "We Just Disagree" and a resurgence in the late 2000s with new studio albums like 26 Letters 12 Notes and Future's Past.
