Dauwd Al Hilali, a producer of Iraqi descent, was born in the United States, raised in Wales, and is currently based in London, England. He blends house, garage, and techno to create a layered, dreamlike sound suitable for both club and home listening experiences. His debut EP, What's There, was released on Pictures in November 2011, followed by Heat Division in March 2013, a joint release by Pictures and Ghostly International. Dauwd's remixes for artists like Coma, Jack Dixon, Lanterns on the Lake, and Olaf Stuut have garnered attention, alongside EPs with Kompakt and his 2017 full-length debut, Theory of Colours, released on Ninja Tune sublabel Technicolour.
