Das Racist, a Brooklyn group formed by MCs Victor Vazquez and Himanshu Suri, gained recognition in 2008 with their viral hit "Combination Pizza Hut and Taco Bell." Their satirical yet reverent style blends druggy nonsense, social commentary, and obscure pop culture references, with the addition of hype man Dap (Ashok Kondabolu). In 2010, they self-released two mixtapes, Shut Up, Dude and Sit Down, Man, the latter in collaboration with Mad Decent label. Their debut album Relax, released in 2011 under Himanshu Suri's Greedhead Music label imprint, solidified their place in the music world.
