Biography

Celebrated for his musical versatility and dedication to humanitarian causes, Daniel Hope has been a virtuoso soloist touring the world for over 30 years. Winner of the 2015 European Cultural Prize for Music, he serves as Music Director of the Zurich Chamber Orchestra and the New Century Chamber Orchestra in San Francisco, as well as Artistic Director of the Frauenkirche Cathedral in Dresden and President of the Beethovenhaus Bonn.

Daniel Hope, one of the most prolific classical recording artists, has over 25 albums to his name, including award-winning recordings such as Mendelssohn’s Violin Concerto and Octet and Alban Berg’s Concerto. Notable accolades include the Deutsche Schallplattenpreis, Grammy nominations, and his recording of Max Richter’s Vivaldi Recomposed reaching No. 1 in over 22 countries with 750,000 copies sold. As an exclusive artist with Deutsche Grammophon since 2007, Hope continues to captivate audiences worldwide with his exceptional musical talent.
