Biography
Da Lench Mob, a politically charged rap trio hailing from the West Coast, gained recognition for their impactful debut album Guerillas in tha Mist. Comprised of Shorty, J-Dee, and T Bone, the group emerged in 1990 on Ice Cube's AmeriKKKa's Most Wanted project, with Cube serving as executive producer for their subsequent album. Released in 1992, Guerillas in tha Mist made waves in the hip-hop community with its provocative title track video and bold tracks like "Freedom Got an A.K." and "Lost in tha System," showcasing a similar outspokenness to Ice Cube. Despite releasing Planet of da Apes in 1994, Da Lench Mob disbanded shortly after their sophomore effort.
