Biography

Formed in 2007 in Fort Collins, Colorado, Candy Claws is an American dream pop group founded by Hank Bertholf and Ryan Hover, later joined by Karen Hover (McCormick). Their debut album, In the Dream of the Sea Life, released in 2009, garnered acclaim for its unique blend of electronics, shoegaze rock, and psychedelic pop. The band followed up with Hidden Lands in 2010, inspired by Richard M. Ketchum's The Secret Life of the Forest, and in 2013 released Ceres & Calypso in the Deep Time. In 2014, Ryan and Karen formed Sound of Ceres, which released Nostalgia for Infinity in 2016 and has toured with acts like Purity Ring and Beach House.
