Grammy Nominated recording artist Calvin Richardson, also known as “The Prince of Soul,” has recently dropped his new single “Ready For The Weekend” from his 9th studio album Five Years Later… in partnership with The SRG-ILS Group / Virgin Music Group. Richardson's music spans soul, R&B, blues, and pop, with a distinctive vocal style that sets him apart from his contemporaries. With a legacy of successful albums and chart-topping singles, Richardson has also penned hits for industry heavyweights such as Charlie Wilson, Angie Stone, and Raphael Saadiq.

Among his notable achievements, Richardson's 8th studio album Gold Dust produced hits like “Let Me Love On You” and “Be Your Friend,” while his seventh album All or Nothing reached the top 20 on the Billboard Top 200 Album Chart. His single “Can’t Let Go” was a top 30 hit on Billboard’s Urban AC Chart and boasts over 100 million streams. Additionally, Richardson recorded a Grammy Nominated tribute album to Bobby Womack, titled Facts of Life, coinciding with Womack’s induction into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.
