Biography

Formed in mid-1995 in Villa Celina, Argentina, the band initially known as Río Verde played covers of artists like Chuck Berry and The Rolling Stones. Over the years, lineup changes led to a shift in sound, prompting a name change to Callejeros in January 1997.

In the late 1990s and early 2000s, Callejeros supported various prominent bands in the Argentine music scene, including Los Ratones Paranoicos and Viejas Locas. The band independently released their debut album "Sed" in 2001, followed by their second album "Presi├│n" in early 2003. It was their third album, "Rocanroles sin destino," that brought them significant mainstream success.
