Formed by vocalists João Pedro and Maguzinho, Ulrich Jonathan on tantan, Bruno Costa on surdo and vocals, and Bidell on cavaco, the group Caju pra Baixo began their career in 2013 after a samba jam among friends in Marechal Hermes, Rio de Janeiro. With a growing fan base, their debut album "Roda de Samba do Caju (Ao Vivo)" released in 2018 has garnered over 400,000 views on YouTube and more than 13 million streams on Spotify. Notable for their blend of partido alto and pagode, their highlight release is the Block 2 #OndeTudoComecou, which has amassed 31 million views on YouTube.
In a significant milestone in 2023, the group celebrated their 10-year anniversary with a DVD recorded at Via Music, featuring special appearances by prominent names in the national pagode and samba scene such as Belo, Ferrugem, Mumuzinho, Xande de Pilares, and Vitinho. Following this success, in 2024, they produced a new audiovisual project under their label FEIJOADA DO CAJU, featuring collaborations with artists like Belo, Bruno Diegues, and Chrigor. Looking ahead to 2025, Caju is gearing up for even more special projects on the horizon.
