Biography

Originating from Nayarit, Banda Móvil was founded by Alberto García Rodríguez in 1965 as Orquesta Imperial, later evolving into a smaller, more modern ensemble with a new name in the 1970s—Móvil Band. By 1980, they rebranded as Banda Móvil, a name that stuck. The group ventured into the film industry in 1988 with their participation in the movie "Bancazo en los Mochis," showcasing their hit corrido "Asalto en los Mochis." In the 1990s, their tropical and ballad-infused tracks such as “La Talega del Café” and “La Cucaracha” earned them a gold record for high sales.

In 2017, Banda M├│vil broke free from record labels, releasing a tribute album to Chelo featuring tracks like ΓÇ£Mejor me VoyΓÇ¥ and ΓÇ£Al Ver que te Vas.ΓÇ¥ Their latest album, launched in 2019, features re-recordings of their most popular hits, with the iconic shout of "Ay te va Cora" serving as their signature sound.
