Banda Maguey

Formed in 1991 by Fernando Guardado in Villa Corona, Jalisco, the group gained popularity in 1994 with the release of "El alacrán," topping charts in Mexico and the United States. Their album "Tumbando caña" was recorded under MCM before switching to Fonovisa in 1995. The hit single "Si tú no estás" brought them back to the charts, followed by the success of "Eva María," which propelled their musical career, earning them the Premio Furia Musical. Continuing their international and national success, they maintained their popularity with "Tu eterno enamorado" in 1996 and "Pero te amo" in 1997, setting new records on the charts.
