Bajofondo, formerly known as "Bajofondo Tango Club," is a collective led by Oscar-winning producer Gustavo Santaolalla and composer Juan Campod├│nico. They blend acoustic tango and candombe with electronic rhythms, creating a unique sound they describe as "contemporary music from the Rio de la Plata." Their second album, "Mar Dulce," featured collaborations with artists like Gustavo Cerati and Nelly Furtado.
In recent years, Bajofondo has evolved their sound and recording process, embracing improvisation and Latin music influences. The current lineup includes Santaolalla, Campodónico, and other members, working on a new album with collaborations from various artists. Their latest release, "Sonido Nativo del Río" featuring YSY A, hints at exciting developments to come.
