Vancouver-based producer Cameron Reed, known as Babe Rainbow, blends left-field rap and experimental electronic music to create dreamy and sometimes unsettling sounds. His early EPs like 2010's Shaved combined elements of dubstep and witch house, while later releases such as 2014's Falling Apart took on a more minimalist and airy approach.
In 2010 and 2011, Babe Rainbow released two EPs, Shaved and Endless Path, under the Warp label. He also made a name for himself as a remix producer for artists like Midnight Juggernauts and Porcelain Raft. After joining How to Dress Well's live band, he released Falling Apart in 2014 through Kinky Beggar, showcasing a lighter tone compared to his earlier Warp EPs. Babe Rainbow continued to explore his sound with releases like Music for 1 Piano, 2 Pianos, & More Pianos on 1080p in the same year and tracks featured on compilations like Ghostly Swim 2 in 2014.
