Aimer faced a vocal injury at age 15 due to singing strain but later developed a distinctive husky and sweet voice. She debuted in 2011 with the single "六等星の夜" and achieved success with her 4th album "daydream" in 2016, topping the iTunes album chart and winning the CD Shop Award in 2017. In 2019, she earned her first #1 ranking on the Oricon weekly single chart with the release of her 16th single "I beg you / 花びらたちのマーチ / Sailing".
Aimer's song "Zankyosanka" for the anime "Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba" season 2 opening theme became a global hit in 2021. To commemorate her 10th anniversary since debut, she is set to release a mini album titled "Deep down," featuring the ending theme for CHAINSAW MAN, "Deep down."
