Agepê

During his career from 1984 to 1994, Agepê achieved national success with eight LPs and CDs, notably with the hit single "Deixa Eu Te Amar" from Mistura Brasileira (1984) which sold over a million and a half copies. As a member of Portela samba school's Ala dos Compositores, he was a pioneer of romantic pagode music. Agepê's legacy includes his samba-enredo "Essa Gente Bronzeada Mostra Seu Valor" presented with Canário and Bira Caboclo shortly before his passing.
