After the Fire

Formed in 1974 by keyboardist Peter Banks in England, After the Fire underwent lineup changes before finding success in the London music scene. Their debut album, Signs of Change, drew comparisons to early Genesis and Greenslade. The band's sound evolved with their second album, Laser Love, which showcased a new wave influence. Despite lineup changes and commercial struggles, After the Fire found success in 1983 with the U.S. Top Ten hit "Der Kommissar," led by guitarist Andy Piercy.
