After Forever

Originating in Holland, After Forever is a unique heavy metal band blending doom, Gothic, and power metal with the operatic vocals of soprano Floor Jansen. Formed in the late '90s, the band quickly gained acclaim with their debut album, Prison of Desire, in 2000, followed by the refined Decipher in 2001. After releasing singles like "Emphasis" and "Monolith of Doubt," Floor Jansen also collaborated with other artists such as Arjen Anthony Lucassen's Star One project. Their third album, Invisible Circles, was released in 2004 after lineup changes, including guitarist Bas Maas joining the band.

With a rising profile in the metal scene, After Forever's music showcases a balance of aggression and melody, highlighted by Floor Jansen's soaring vocals. The band's evolution from their early days as Apocalyps to their later releases demonstrates their growth and versatility within the genre.
