Adrienne Houghton, formerly known as Adrienne Bailon from 3LW and the Cheetah Girls, embarked on a solo music career in 2017 with the release of the Spanish-language album New Tradiciones. Originally planning to pursue a career in obstetrics, Bailon was discovered by Ricky Martin while singing in a choir in 1999, leading to her involvement in the formation of 3LW and later the Cheetah Girls.

Following her time with the Cheetah Girls, Bailon shifted her focus to acting and hosting television shows, including appearances on Keeping Up with the Kardashians and hosting The Real. In 2016, she married Christian singer/songwriter Israel Houghton and released the Christmas album New Tradiciones in 2017, marking her return to music.
