Adewale Ayuba, also known as Mr. Johnson, is the leader of the Bonsue Fuji Organization, a 15-piece all-drum band that has played a significant role in the evolution of Fuji music, a form of juju played on traditional percussion instruments. Ayuba's musical journey began in childhood, with his father's encouragement to focus on education during the week and practice music on Saturdays. Since signing his first record deal in the 1980s, Ayuba has released a total of 15 albums in Nigeria and four internationally, showcasing his unique blend of Fuji and contemporary influences.
Some of Ayuba's notable albums include "Ibere (Beginning)" (1986), "Bubble" (1991), "Fuji Time" (1996), and "Sugar" (2013), each contributing to his enduring legacy as a pioneer in the Fuji music genre.
