Biography

Bristol-based producer Addison Groove, also known as Antony Williams, played a key role in bridging Chicago's juke/footwork scene with the U.K. bass music continuum, notably with the 2010 single "Footcrab" and collaborations with DJ Rashad. Previously known as Headhunter in the dubstep scene, Williams transitioned to incorporating footwork elements in a dubstep context, resulting in a unique fusion that garnered underground acclaim. Having signed to Modeselektor's 50 Weapons label, Addison Groove released the debut album "Transistor Rhythm" in 2012, followed by notable EPs and collaborations with artists like Mark Pritchard and Spank Rock.

Throughout the years, Addison Groove continued to push boundaries in electronic music, releasing singles and EPs on various labels, including his own. Notable releases include the African-influenced Changa EP and the full-length album "Fred Neutron," showcasing a blend of footwork, jungle, and acid sounds. Collaborations with artists like DJ Die and Sam Binga further expanded his sonic palette, solidifying his reputation as a versatile and innovative producer in the electronic music landscape.
