Aaron Tippin rose to fame in the early '90s with a blend of rugged honky tonkers, heartfelt ballads, and patriotic anthems. Born in 1958 in Pensacola, Florida, he honed his musical skills while working on his family's farm in South Carolina. After a stint as a pilot and a songwriter in Nashville, he signed with RCA in 1990 and released his debut album, which included the hit "You've Got to Stand for Something." Subsequent albums like Read Between the Lines and Tool Box solidified his success, with chart-topping singles like "There Ain't Nothing Wrong with the Radio" and "That's as Close as I'll Get to Loving You."
