Alison Sudol, originally from Seattle, relocated to Los Angeles at a young age and found inspiration in bands like Coldplay and Keane. After catching the attention of Capitol Records' Jason Flom, she signed a record deal and debuted as A Fine Frenzy with the album One Cell in the Sea, opening for the Stooges at South by Southwest in 2007. Sudol's musical journey continued with a wider audience opening for Rufus Wainwright, leading to a more diverse range of influences reflected in her sophomore album, Bomb in the Birdcage, released in 2009, followed by a holiday EP and her third studio album, Pines, in 2012.
Transitioning to acting in 2013, Sudol appeared in various projects including Transparent, Dig, and the Harry Potter prequel Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them. Her exploration of different artistic avenues showcases her multi-faceted talents beyond music.
