A.C. Newman

Allan Carl Newman, a Vancouver-based musician, initially gained recognition in the '90s with alternative rock/grunge band Superconductor before moving on to power pop group Zumpano. However, it was with the formation of the New Pornographers in 2000 that Newman's catchy guitar pop anthems solidified his presence in the indie rock scene. Alongside multiple solo projects from bandmates like Neko Case and Dan Bejar, Newman released solo albums Slow Wonder (2004), Get Guilty (2009), and Shut Down the Streets (2012), showcasing his diverse musical styles. Additionally, in 2013, Newman composed the score for the romantic comedy What If, starring Daniel Radcliffe and Zoe Kazan.
