Burna Boy, born Damini Ogulu in Lagos in 1991, began his music career at a young age, immersing himself in reggae, dancehall, and Afrobeat influences. Moving to London for university before returning to Nigeria, he collaborated with producer LeriQ and developed a unique sound that blended various genres. His debut album, L.I.F.E., in 2013, featured collaborations with notable Nigerian artists and received positive reviews from critics. Burna Boy's subsequent releases, including 2015's On a Spaceship and 2018's Outside, showcased his versatility and continued to garner acclaim in the music industry. Collaborating with a range of artists and producers, Burna Boy has established himself as a leading figure in the global music scene, with hits like "Rock Your Body" and "Killin Dem" solidifying his status as a prominent reggae-dancehall artist.
