Intoxicados is an Argentine rock band formed in late 2000 following the dissolution of Viejas Locas. The lineup consisted of Cristian “Pity” Alvarez (vocals, guitar), Abel Meyer (drums), Jorge Rossi (bass, formerly of Gardelitos), Felipe Barrozo (guitar), Adrián “Burbujas” Pérez (keyboards), and Ezequiel "Peri" Rodríguez (harmonica). Known for their innovative sound that blended rock with elements of hip hop, funk, and reggae, Intoxicados gained recognition for their experimental approach to music.
Over their 9-year career, Intoxicados released 4 studio albums – ¡¡ Buen día!!, No es sólo rock and roll, Otro día en el planeta tierra, El exilio de las especies (Thend) – which topped sales charts and earned Gold, Platinum, and Double Platinum certifications. The band's unique musical style and surrealistic artistic concept propelled them from a local act to a cult favorite and eventually to mainstream success, establishing them as a significant presence in the Argentine rock scene. Intoxicados headlined major festivals in Argentina, toured in Chile, Uruguay, and Paraguay, and performed sold-out shows at renowned venues like Luna Park and Obras stadiums.
