Demae, a multi-disciplinary artist from Harlesden, North-West London, has always had an instinctive connection to music. Introduced to the medium by her father, music played a crucial role in their relationship and helped Demae discover her own unique tastes. Despite studying fashion at university, Demae began experimenting with music in her own time, eventually transitioning from a passion to a craft when her demos were shared with friends at the age of 17.

Her music, characterized by a magnetic yet soothing quality, allows Demae to share introspective thoughts with listeners in real-time. With her debut project "Life Works Out...Usually" reflecting on the early days of the pandemic, Demae has recently collaborated with FAMM to release the unofficial Madlib mixtape "Maelib". This project showcases her early hip-hop influences and admiration for the genre, receiving recognition from BBC 1Xtra personalities such as Benji B, Jamz Supernova, and CassKidd, affirming her talent and potential as a recording artist.
