In 2012, after graduating from Dandora Music School managed by Francis Demesi, Elisha Odhiambo, Fode Gesaka, Chris Oyola, and others formed the youngest Kenyan hip-hop group named "Dandora Music." The group, which also included members Dennis Kimatu, Stephen Naikara, Truphena Achieng, and Joyce (who left in 2016 & 2017), all hail from Dandora and faced challenging conditions growing up in low-income families. Despite their hardships, Dandora Music has released three EPs - "Looking Up," "Nothing but the Truth," and "Grass 2 Grace" - with hits like "ON&ON" and "Sugar" reaching the top charts on Kenyan radio and "Looking Up" featuring Klein Kalonzo gaining popularity in East Africa.

Elisha Odhiambo and Fode Gesaka, both teenagers aged between 16-18, alongside Chris Oyola and previous members, have been at the forefront of Dandora Music's musical journey. The group's origins in the Dandora neighborhood, known for extreme poverty and challenges, have influenced their music, reflecting their struggles and aspirations. Through their EPs, Dandora Music has garnered recognition, with tracks like "Sugar" and "Looking Up" receiving significant airplay across East Africa and topping local charts, showcasing the group's talent and resilience despite their humble beginnings.
