Canine Heart Sounds is a Durham, NC-based quartet known for their unique blend of vocal and instrumental rock music. Originally hailing from Duluth, MN, the band was formed in 2007 and all members were born in Wisconsin. Drawing on influences from progressive rock, jazz, soul, and experimental music, their live performances seamlessly transition from improvisational instrumentals to traditional song structures with intricate vocal harmonies.

Having individually collaborated with various music projects before coming together, Canine Heart Sounds released their third album, "Sun Size Guitar," in February 2022. The band is set to record a new album of original instrumental music in April 2023 at Betty’s Studio. With past experiences including touring as backing musicians for Grandma Sparrow and Molly Sarle, as well as performing at notable festivals like Eaux Claires, Bonnaroo, Hopscotch, and Art of Cool, Canine Heart Sounds continues to captivate audiences with their dynamic sound and spirited performances.
