"A Veces También Soñamos" (AVTS) is an alternative rock band that blends psychedelic elements with Latin American folklore influences. Their debut album, released in August 2019 under the same name, is a conceptual piece exploring personal and fictional stories set in a developing country plagued by extreme capitalism, classism, opulence, material poverty, and inequality. AVTS's sound embraces the classic electric guitar tones reminiscent of Pink Floyd and The Beatles, occasionally interwoven with traditional Latin American instruments like the Tiple, El cuatro, Charango, and Quenas. The band draws significant inspiration from Chilean folk music icons such as Inti-Illimani, Victor Jara, and Los Jaivas, while maintaining a strong presence on social media for independent, self-managed promotion.
