Kaantiga is a forró band blending traditional Pé-de-Serra forró with other musical styles such as Samba-de-roda, Afoxé, and MPB, creating a unique genre they call "Forró Dendê da Bahia." Through their music, Kaantiga promotes authentic forró while showcasing the diverse cultural heritage of the Brazilian Northeast, from the coast to the hinterlands, with a focus on the distinctive characteristics of Bahia that form a valuable social, cultural, and musical identity.
