Hailing from Teesside, UK, A Dying Reign is a 4-piece metal band comprising vocalists/guitarists James Gibson and Matt Sedgewick, drummer Joe Hall, and bassist Lewis Barrett-Conlan. Drawing inspiration from Meshuggah, SikTh, Vildjharta, and others, the band has transitioned from their post-hardcore/metalcore origins to a darker, more aggressive sound influenced by current events such as politics, religion, and war.

Forming in 2011 as Royal Blood, the band later rebranded to A Dying Reign, ultimately releasing their self-titled EP in January 2018 after refining their unique sound. Their latest offering, "Sky Burial," released in February 2020, showcases their musical evolution and sets the tone for their future endeavors, solidifying their reputation for high-energy live performances.
