80 Unlacey originated as Dylan Innes' solo endeavor in 2017 during his time in Asheville, NC, primarily sharing home recorded tracks on Soundcloud. In 2019, the project evolved into a collaborative band with the addition of Evan Stahl and Alvin Carlisle, who met at Appalachian State in Boone. Their eclectic sound spans funk, soul, pop, and hints of southern influence, showcased in their debut single "Bristol."
