Henrik Franzén, known from the Swedish punk band Grisen Skriker, formed 22 för många in Stockholm in the early 80s with guitarist Mikael Söderlund and bassist Catarina Silverforsen. The band stood out from the conventional rock scene by blending poetry and theater with unique post-punk sounds. 22 för många gained attention for their energetic music and Henrik's provocative stage presence, garnering both enemies and devoted fans, becoming a significant part of the post-punk subculture.

Their most productive period was with drummer Patrik Wetterström from 1982 to 1983, releasing three albums and an EP, with "I afton trans" often cited as their creative peak. Despite their short time together, 22 för många left a lasting impact on Swedish punk and post-punk. Fanfar! Records is reintroducing their music, including a restored reissue of their first studio recording "Yrkesmördare i livets tjänst" from 1981, aiming to preserve the band's legacy for a new generation.
